Membership can be renewed via the Renew Membership page. Enter your Membership ID and registered email address to initiate renewal. Annual dues must be paid by 31st March to maintain continuous membership status. A reminder email is sent 30 days before your membership expires.

DSS offers three membership categories: Student Membership (₹500/year) for undergraduate and postgraduate students, Individual Professional Membership (₹2,000/year) for practising engineers and researchers, and Institutional Membership (₹15,000/year) for government bodies, research institutions, and private firms. Each category includes benefits tailored to the member's professional stage.

DSS membership is valid for one calendar year from the date of joining or renewal. Upon expiry, members must renew to continue accessing publications, event registration, and other member-only resources. A reminder email is automatically sent 30 days before membership expiry.

All registered members can access the DSS digital knowledge repository — including the Indian Journal of Dam Safety, technical bulletins, conference proceedings, and 500+ archived research papers. After your membership is activated, you will receive login credentials for the member portal where all publications are available for free download.

DSS hosts regular webinars on dam safety topics including risk assessment, emergency planning, inspection, and rehabilitation. As a member, you will receive email announcements for upcoming sessions. Registration is free for all active members and is completed through the member portal. CPD certificates are issued automatically for qualifying attendance.
